Wellness event offers info, pampering and prizes

GLENDALE, ARIZ. (SEPT 13, 2010) — Paseo Family Physicians is hosting a Women's Expo from 4:30 - 7:00 pm on Thursday, October 7th at 18275 North 59th Avenue, #K-162, Glendale.

The event includes educational booths and complimentary services such as mini-facials, hand peels, chair massages and DXA body fat composition analysis on a first-come basis. A number of area wellness, fitness and skin care businesses and organizations will be on hand to provide information. All guests receive an entry for a raffle featuring an array of prizes and can enjoy hors d'oeurves and wine tasting.

DVHS SPORTS PHYSICALS TO HELP FUND ATHLETICS

GLENDALE, ARIZ. (MAY 10, 2010) — School sports physicals for Deer Valley High School athletes will now help pay for uniforms and sports equipment.

On Saturday, May 22, from noon to 3 p.m. Paseo Family Physicians is offering DVHS student athletes sport physicals for a $20 fee. Appointments are not necessary. All proceeds will be donated to Deer Valley High School to help fund their athletic department.

Matthew J. Anderson, MD joins Paseo Family Physicians

GLENDALE, ARIZ. (January 3, 2010) — Matthew J. Anderson, MD will join Paseo Family Physicians, 18275 N. 59th Avenue, Glendale, on January 18.

A 2005 graduate of the Indiana University School of Medicine, Dr. Anderson completed a fellowship in family and community medicine with the University of Arizona’s College of Medicine. As a resident, he received the Mayo Clinic’s Program Director Award for excellence in patient care, teaching and research.

Dr. Anderson specializes in musculoskeletal care, diabetic care and pediatrics and is dedicated to treating the entire family. He complements Paseo’s philosophy of personalized care and joins Graeme Tolson, MD, Kevin Turner, MD, Vanessa Tartaglia, DO, Michael Underhill, DO and Dana Forred, FNP.

Area Immunization Clinics Best Bet for Flu Shots
GLENDALE, ARIZ. (October 9, 2009) — Patients of Paseo Family Physicians are encouraged to take advantage of local flu shot clinics for both their seasonal flu and H1N1 flu vaccines. Due to the inability of manufacturers to confirm availability and distribution, Paseo has decided not to provide the vaccine this year.

There are a number of well-publicized and cost effective flu shot clinics offering accessible alternatives for patients and their families. We encourage our patients to select from options such as CVS/Pharmacy, Walgreens or Mollen Immunization Clinics which are held in area grocery stores. This allows us to focus our efforts on providing care and treatment to patients who are sick.
